i remember a long time ago the explanation was that various anointed ones would write to the gb with the same new understanding of a teaching, the gb would investigate it, and if it was acceptable, they'd pass it on to the r&f.

How in the world can people disown their own kids & family members, and in some cases even sacrificing their children or own lives over the blood issue, to a cult run by these men whom in most cases they do not even know anything personally about them?

2012 Highlights:
The Good
My first year as Operations Area Manager with my new company went very well. Had a new healthy grandson born. Met a beautiful Asian angel. Played on a softball team for the first time in years and played very good. Had a very good year investing.
The Bad
My youngest brother died suddenly. Had several injuries playing softball too hard. Hadn't been sick in several years, but finished 2012 with a bad case of flu.
The Ugly
An ugly bloke like me landed a very hot & beautiful woman.
i would like to thank everyone who is a part of this community.

i am now in my late thirties and have been battling depression issues over my former abuses by this nongoverment organization.

There is no great & powerful Oz giving light to the Emerald City. The man behind the curtain is the Governing Body. New light comes straight from the Legal Department. The WTS is a man made religious publishing house corporation keeping the JW fantasy alive.

I think the WTS will openly proclaim the 1914-2014 centennial. After that, the WTS makes the occasional Noah preached 120 years before the flood tie-in, and all the good JDubs will get whipped up into 2034 being the end frenzy. This buys them another 20 years, along with some excitement and money & people increases along the way.
poor cognac's challenge has me thinking.. as a non-jw, if i were to marry this jw, would the congregation attribute problems we would encounter to him being married to me?

He had someone set up a study for me with a "nice" lady in his hall. She was very odd. It lasted two sessions before she left a message on my phone telling me she would not be meeting with me. she was calling me names on my answering message.... as far as I'm concerned, "faultfinder" is negative. I think he was a little embarrassed about her behavior.
Oh they hate it when a person makes them work at their brainwashing sessions, instead of just going along with the programing.
you have all read in newspapers , heard it on tv, radio ,of the 23 year old indian woman student who was gang raped recently by no less than 10 men on a bus then severely beaten with an iron bar and then thrown off the bus in singapore and has since died of her injuries .. those perpretrators of that crime are deserving of the death sentence in my book .. if you willfully take a life or ,are a party to it ,you automatically forfeit your own life .that`s my philosophy .. what`s yours.

Wasblind.......very creative, and possibly a deterent to other criminals. I'm more towards the death penalty.......mainly for justice to the victims whose lives were taken, but also to keep the costs and comsuming of resources down.

In or out the JW's will make you a punching bag if you let them. Being you are not a JW, you will be treated nicely to your face, but once you don't join right up you will be talked about behind your back. Flee if you can, or stay in the relationship if you must.
